WE ARE... EMSA

The Penn State Emergency Medical Services Association, otherwise known as EMSA, is a registered student organization at the University Park Campus. Its purpose is to promote camaraderie among students with an interest in EMS; to promote EMS awareness and education; and to support the university in its efforts to deliver quality emergency medical services.  While you are not required to be an employee of Penn State EMS to participate in EMSA, the majority of EMSA members are employed as EMTs for the University Ambulance Service.

EMSA teaches CPR and Stop the Bleed courses on a regular basis to people within the Penn State Community and surrounding areas. If you are interested in any of these courses please see our course catalog.
